Meet Jim Davis

Contact Jim Davis by e-mail with your questions and comments about family, job, or career issues. Also use The Family Forum to learn from others, ask for guidance, or offer suggestions of your own.

James H. Davis, M.Ed. is a Career Counselor and a Family Mediator with a graduate degree in counseling. He has also had over 25 years of diverse corporate experience, during which he led software development teams, facilitated employee development training classes, and provided career counseling/coaching to "downsized" employees.

Jim and his wife, Jane, live on a farm in Jefferson County, in the East Tennessee foothills of the Smoky Mountains. He is the author of The Job Loss Survival Guide, a free publication that has helped many to successfully cope with job loss. He has volunteered as a career counselor and a presentation skills trainer for institutionalized youth who have problems adjusting to society. He also does volunteer work with the "Families First" program that helps welfare mothers to become self-sufficient.
